The Grignan market: authenticity at the foot of the château
It’s impossible to stay at Le Garrigon without visiting the Grignan market. Just a few steps from the campsite, this weekly event takes place in the heart of the village, often on the Place du Mail, in the benevolent shadow of the famous Château de Grignan made famous by Madame de Sévigné. It’s the place to be for locals and visitors alike.
You’ll find a fine selection of local produce: sun-drenched fruits and vegetables, typical goat’s cheeses, artisanal charcuterie, lavender honey, nougat, not forgetting the unmissable olives and olive oils for which Drôme Provençale is famous. Local artisans also offer their creations. It’s the perfect place to fill your basket with delicacies for a picnic or a convivial aperitif on your campsite pitch. You’ll find this authentic weekly market every Tuesday morning on the Place du Mail (or in the village center, depending on the season), just 6.5 km from the campsite (9 minutes by car) and easily accessible on foot.
The Nyons market: a not-to-be-missed event
Nyons, capital of the Tanche olive (the famous PDO black olive), hosts one of the region’s most famous and lively markets. Early on Thursdays, the town’s streets and squares come alive with joyful, colorful crowds. It’s a huge market where you can find absolutely everything: a profusion of food products, of course(Nyons olive oil is a must!), but also clothes, typical Provencal fabrics, crafts, flowers, spices… The atmosphere is particularly lively.
Stroll under the arcades of the Place des Arcades, let the aromas guide you, and taste the local specialties offered by the exhibitors. The town also offers a smaller market, focusing on local producers, on Sunday mornings. It’s a real immersion in the hustle and bustle of a big market in the Drôme.

In addition to classic, high-quality food stalls(organic foods, local cheeses such as Picodon), this market is a showcase for artsand crafts. You’ll find potters, ceramists and other local creators. It’s the ideal place to pick up a unique souvenir while filling up on goodies.

The Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux market: historic charm and flavours
In the heart of the historic center of Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux, this weekly event is a wonderful discovery. On Tuesday mornings, stalls are set up in the squares and narrow streets typical of this charming commune. You’ll find a wide range of food products, with many local producers proudly displaying their local produce, cheeses, honeys and other delicacies. It’s also an opportunity to pick up a few handcrafted creations.
